Students will be required to:

- Assist LVL librarians with tasks and projects, as requested

- Assist in preparation of upcoming student outreach events

- Check and prepare conference and instruction rooms for use

- Storyboard and create visual displays for social media posts and/or exhibit cases in LVL lobby

- Provide general assistance to office visitors, as needed

- Perform general office duties such as checking phone messages, email inquiries to the Leavey Library account, updating documents, retrieving and distributing LVL staff mail, etc.

- Assist LVL supervisors and staff with collections projects, as requested

This position requires that you have work-study for the 2022-2023 academic year.

Qualified students must possess the following:

- Be detail-oriented and organized

- Excellent customer service and communication skills

- Excellent work ethics: be punctual, dependable, responsible

- Creative and artistic skills are desirable

- Experience with planning/brainstorming ideas for events is desirable

- Basic skills in typing and Microsoft programs such as Word and Excel, as well as proficient with Google suite (Drive, Calendar, Sheets, Slides, Docs)

- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and/or Illustrator is preferred but not required

- Student assistants are expected to adhere to all USC health and safety protocols
