Doheny Memorial Library is seeking responsible and mature USC students for employment.  Duties will primarily include searching for books for patrons, performing library book-stack maintenance, technical and record maintenance and other related duties. This is a back-end position to the circulation desk and is more detective work. 

Qualified candidates must be detail oriented and have an eye for mistakes.  Must have a great work ethic and be able to work independently. Candidates should be engaged in their duties, be able to provide feedback to their supervisor(s) and assist in updating ongoing procedures.  Library experience is preferred by not required. Familiarity with Library of Congress classification system is desirable. Candidates are expected to adhere to all USC health and safety protocols.   Physical demands: frequent computer/keyboard/mouse use; occasional repetitive motion; occasional climbing on step-stool; ability to see/hear/speak, stand/sit/balance; ability to occasionally lift/push/pull up to approximately 15-20 lbs.; simple grasping with left, right, or both hands; fine manipulation and flexion/extension and pinching with left, right, or both hands; reach above shoulder; bend/twist, turn or tilt at the neck/waist. Close visual acuity is required to perform activities such as: preparing and transcribing information; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
