The Business and Accounting Libraries are seeking reliable and mature individuals for the position of Library Student Assistant. Job duties include but are not limited to discharging/charging materials, shelving materials, shelf-reading, updating patron records, answering directional questions, providing basic reference assistance (training will be provided), and referring reference questions to appropriate staff/faculty. Applicants must be USC students. Library Student Assistants are expected to adhere to all USC health and safety protocols. Library Supervisors, Managers, and Librarians may assign other special projects as needed. The position will have a maximum of 5 hours a week on Mondays and Tuesdays. 

Physical demands: frequent computer/keyboard/mouse use; occasional repetitive motion; occasional climbing on step-stool; ability to see/hear/speak, stand/sit/balance; ability to occasionally lift/push/pull up to approximately 15-20 lbs.; simple grasping with left, right, or both hands; fine manipulation and flexion/extension and pinching with left, right, or both hands; reach above shoulder; bend/twist, turn or tilt at the neck/waist. Close visual acuity is required to perform activities such as: preparing and transcribing information; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
