Duties and Responsibilities:

Note: We are currently accepting applications for FALL 2025. Please include your work availability for the Fall Semester.

Under the supervision of a full time Library Supervisor, duties include but are not limited to:

  • Customer service and ID checks at the entry to the library building.
  • General patron information assistance.

 

Job Qualifications:

Qualifications include but are not limited to:

  • Candidates must commit to: 10-12 hours/week. Work shifts consist of a minimum of 3 hours.
  • Must be a currently enrolled USC student.
  • Workstudy preferred.
  • Candidates must be reliable, responsible, punctual, detail-oriented, adhere to instructions and library policies, and have excellent communication skills. Student assistants will adhere to USC health and safety protocols.  
  • Close visual acuity is required to perform activities such as: preparing and transcribing information; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
