Under the guidance of the professional staff, the applicant will organize and file historical papers and photographs and place the materials in acid-free containers; update records in ONE Archives ( the largest LGBTQ archive in the world) database; conduct online and library research on a variety of GLBTQ topics; and assist archival staff with other duties as needed.

The candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills; a working knowledge of MS Word and Excel applications; and the ability to lift materials weighing 30-40 pounds. Preferred candidates will have basic understanding or experience in working in a library/archive/museum environment; as well as knowledge or interest in GLBTQ history. Students with an interest in history, gender studies, or library studies are strongly encouraged to apply. 15-20 hours a week, and start date ASAP and weekly schedules are flexible.
